Dafne Veterinary Hospital is one of only few practices across the country who has a Kennel Club approved BOAS assessor- our vet Emilia has completed her training in Respiratory Function Grading scheme created by The Kennel Club and University of Cambridge.
What is Respiratory Function Grading Scheme?
The scheme is designed to assess British Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs for a breathing problem- Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome.
The assessment is meant to give the breeders and owners advice if their dog is affected by BOAS and guidance how to lower the risk of creating affected puppies and if their dog would benefit from BOAS corrective surgery.
